Floatel capsized due to engine failure, probe rules out human error

The investigation into the capsizing of floatel Ark Deck bar has concluded that the accident occurred due to a failure in the engine. The final report said no human error was involved. The probe was conducted by Maharashtra Maritime Board (MMB). Ark Deck bar was anchored near Bandra-Worli Sea-Link.

The report has been submitted to the state government for its final approval. The MMB has concluded that the engine failure was reported due to improper fuel injection in the engine. The improper injection was caused by heavy tidal movement on May 25, the day the accident occurred.
